5G-STARDUST continued its run in Valencia, Spain, featuring at one6G Summit, organised this year back-to-back with The Annual IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC).
The summit is organised every year by the one6G association, whose mission is to evolve, test, and promote next generation cellular and wireless technology-based communications solutions, by supporting global 6G research and standardisation efforts to accelerate its adoption and overall market penetration, all the while addressing societal and industry-driven needs for enhanced connected mobility. In such context , the summit established a major platform for expert discussions about challenges, opportunities, and progress achieved on the journey toward a hyper-connected world.

5G-STARDUST was introduced to the audience during the second day of the summit, in the afternoon block revolving around “Cutting edge technologies”, which touched upon the opportunities (and challenges) that those bring into 6G: from beamforming design insights to healthcare innovation and AI.
Ana Perez-Neira, Director of project partner Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) presented 5G-STARDUST among the projects that the Centre is working within, following the overall objective to push the evolution of connectivity from space, as part of a presentation dedicated to the theme of “AI in space”.
