SUMMARY:ETSI AI and Data Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 ETSI AI and Data Conference is the 3rd edition of the event. Focusing exclusively on AI in the past\, the scope is now extended to intertwine AI and Data management technologies. Standardisation Requests in support of the EU AI Act and the EU Data Act\, means that European Standardisation Organisations are actively contributing to EU policy.\n\nThe event will provide an overview of current priorities in the AI and Data ecosystems\, with a detailed discussion on how ETSI is addressing those. Agentic AI will also be in the spotlight in a dedicated session\, and will be addressed from political\, industrial\, and wider perspectives.\n\nAttendees will learn about standardisation around AI and have the opportunity to contribute actively\, and highlight potential gaps\, share ideas for new projects. The event will also feature demonstrations and posters on the latest advances in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data being applied to networks\, digital systems and vertical sector applications.\n\nThis exclusive face-to-face event is a unique opportunity for ETSI members and non-members to gather\, exchange with experts and peers\, and obtain first-hand information on how to shape the future of AI and Data.\n\nThe detailed event programme\, including conference agenda and selected demos and posters\, is expected to be available in early December 2025. SUMMARY:ETSI Conference on “Non-Terrestrial Networks\, a Native Component of 6G"
DESCRIPTION:The ETSI Conference on “Non-Terrestrial Networks\, a Native Component of 6G” will take place face-to-face on 3-4 April 2024 in ETSI\, Sophia Antipolis\, France. \nThe conference is co-organized with the ESA\, 6G-IA and the SNS-JU. \nFrom NTN research to global standards\, plotting the trajectory to a fully connected planet \nNon-Terrestrial Networks have been part of 5G since 3GPP Rel-17 and the use of NTN related technologies enables global coverage for a wide range of applications that require both high availability and high resilience. \n6G will consider a native integration of NTN in the 6G system\, thus allowing the optimization of service delivery leveraging both terrestrial networks and non-terrestrial networks in 6G from the outset. In addition 6G NTN is expected to provide increased performances and service capabilities compared to NTN in 5G. \n5G-STARDUST’s Project Coordinator\, Tomaso de Cola (DLR) will be speaking at the event; in addition\, project partners Thales Alenia Space France and Consorzio Nazionale Italiano per le Telecomunicazioni\, and will be at the event – Stay tuned for more details! \n  \nAbout the Conference\nThis face-to-face event will offer attendees the unique opportunity to come together and exchange with experts\, network with peers\, and visit the dedicated project posters all focussing on the topic of Non-Terrestrial Networks for beyond 5G. \nThe event will foster discussions on the following topics:\n• Targeted use cases that will be enabled by NTN in 6G\n• Possible 6G architecture frameworks (including interfaces) enabling the native integration of the NTN components\n• Candidate technologies/features for NTN in 6G\n• Standardization approach (e.g. what\, where\, when) for NTN in 6G \nAdditionally\, the event will be an opportunity for research organizations (academia and industrial research) to discuss new trends and features in the field of NTN solutions in the perspective of standardization. \nPosters from the latest projects in the field NTN / satellite / 6G technologies may be provided to complement the conference programme. \nThe detailed event programme including the conference agenda\, list of posters will be available in February 2024. \nParticipation to the event is open to all and free of charge upon registration. \nHowever the places are limited so remember to register your participation early in order to be part of the discussion. \nNote that the event is prepared with the support of the Horizon Europe 6G-NTN collaborative project and the ESA HELENA project.
